Abigail Update

More good news ...

from Abigail's eye doctors in Syracuse.

Jonathan and Amy took the baby for a follow-up appointment to check her eyes. She was diagnosed with Stage I Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) while she was still in the hospital. The doctors advised that most of the less severe cases resolved themselves. And Abby's has! She passed her test with flying colors, and doesn't have to go to an eye doctor for a year.

Abby also took her first "road trip" over the weekend. The whole family piled in the Subaru and drove to Nana and Pop Ryan's house. (Aunt Colleen and Uncle Eric got to see her and hold her again, and we were thrilled.)

She's still on the monitor for A's and B's, but they are coming less and less frequently. Our girl is getting bigger every time we see her! I don't have a weight update, but she's got some chubby cheeks and bright eyes. No matter how big she gets, though, she'll always be our "bean."
