An overview:

WELCOME! Comprehensive youth ministry may be described as the community’s response to the physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual needs of today’s youth. Youth ministry is not a formal program, but rather a variety of different opportunities and activities, designed to meet the diverse needs of youth within our faith community. Eight specific components guide our planning efforts, to help ensure we are striving to meet teens’ needs. These components are:

Advocacy Justice, Peace & Service
Catechesis Leadership Development & Enablement
Community Building Pastoral Care & Guidance
Evangelization Prayer & Worship

Youth ministry includes all the ways the parish community serves young people and their families, and equips them to live as Catholic Christians. Youth ministry is:

TO youth
The Christian community exercises its pastoral role in meeting young people’s needs.


WITH youth
Young people minister alongside adults, sharing our common responsibility to carry out the Church’s mission
  

BY youth
Young people share their gifts in ministry to others.

FOR youth
The faith community continually attempts to interpret and advocate for the needs and concerns of youth.
