WHAT: Come together with others to focus on passages from both the New and Old Testaments to help us come to a more mature understanding and appreciation of the Eucharist.  

WHEN: Six 1-hour sessions on the following Thursdays - February 7, 14, 21, 28, March 6, 13.  The program will be offered at two different times - 9:45AM and 7:00PM pending sufficient interest (at least 8 registrations are needed for each of the sessions.)

WHERE: St. Madeleine Sophie Church Meeting Room

MATERIALS: The book "Food from Heaven: The Eucharist in Scripture," from The Word Among Us - Keys to the Bible series will be provided and utilized.  For each of the six sessions, this book provides a full topical Scripture text, a short commentary, and questions for reflection and discussion.  The book also provides historical and cultural background details, and quotes from church fathers, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and contemporary Catholic writers.   While it is recommended that participants have access to a bible, please note that no previous bible study experience is necessary.

COST: A voluntary $5 contribution is requested to partially offset the cost of the book provided. This can be brought to one of the initial sessions.

WHY: Most of us lead very busy lives, and finding time to support our own spiritual "continuing education" isn't easy. This represents a modest investment of time which hopefully will prove to be worthwhile.
