Adult Workshops

Chair Seat Weaving Workshop-November 5: 1pm-3
With local artist, Libby Lee.
At the end of the class you will have a comfortable, personally woven chair to enjoy.

Participants provide their own chair and materials.
Ages: Adults only
Fee: $24.00/$20.00 SHS Members
Limit: 6 Participants
 

Watercolor Angels Workshop-December 3: 1pm-3
With local artist, Libby Lee.
Learn the technique of watercolor painting
and create a Shaker inspired piece of art ready for framing.
Ages: Adults
Fee: $32.00/ $28.00 SHS Members
Limit: 6 participants
 
 

Youth Workshops

Hand Dipped Candles: Saturday November 19, 10am-11am
Learn the traditional method for making candles and then make your own to keep or give to someone for a special gift.
Ages: 6-12 yrs
Fee: $6.00/$5.00 SHS Members
Limit: 8 Participants

Embroidery Sampler: Saturday November 19, 1pm-4
Taught by Mary Crain.
Samplers were made by children to practice sewing skills
as well as help them with their spelling lessons.
Embroider your own small sampler to take home.
Ages: 9-14 yrs
Fee: $8.00/$7.00 SHS Members
Limit: 8 Participants

Holiday Soap Making: Saturday, December 3, 10am-11am
Learn how soap was made in the 1800's
Make samples to take home for yourself or for a gift.
Ages: 6-12 yrs
Fee: $6.00/$5.00 SHS Members
Limit: 8 Participants

Shaker Heritage Society museum and gift shop closes annually for the month of January.
